Hewlett Packard (HP) is one of the Israeli military's main information technology suppliers. Its technology supports the Israeli military checkpoint system through the use of its systems in biometric ID cards which restrict and control Palestinians' movement.

HP provides technology and equipment to the Israeli Navy which maintains the 10-year old blockade of Gaza.

Hastings première of the award-winning film "Speed Sisters."

Wednesday 30 November.

Hastings Online Times article:

Amber's Speed Sisters raises funds for Palestine Solidarity Campaign

Meet the first all-female racing team in the middle east. The "Speed Sisters" explores the gritty, male-dominated Palestinian street car-racing scene. The film breaks down stereotypes about Palestinian women.

Finding places to practice is difficult, with the team forced to train in a car park located next to an Israeli detention centre. Simply getting around is a logistical nightmare, with Israel's illegal apartheid wall and military checkpoints everywhere. Documentary. 78 minutes. Director: Amber Fares. Admission free. Contributions welcome.
