'The Great March of Return'

The toll of the Israeli attacks on unarmed Palestinian demonstrators in Gaza is (according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza) 112 killed which includes 13 children. Some were shot in the back. 13,190 were injured, with 32 amputations.

To get a useful background to the blockade of Gaza and the current situation, we recommend a view of this short interview with Norman Finkelstein (12 minutes).

"If there's a natural disaster.......people move.
If there's a human-made disaster.........people move.
Gaza is the only place on earth where the place is unlivable and the people can't move, they can't leave, they're trapped."

Israeli drone manufacturer closed down for the day.

Excellent action at Instro in Broadstairs, Kent. This firm is owned by Israeli arms company Elbit, Israel's biggest drone manufacturer. It's 4 years since the Israeli massacres of the people of Gaza where 2200 Palestinians (including 551 children) were killed - almost a quarter by drones supplied by Elbit.

Taybeh Brewery: Problems with making beer under military occupation.

"Last summer, Palestinians in Taybeh watched settlements get an unlimited supply of water, while their taps ran as infrequently as once a month. The brewery had to purchase tanks of water to produce beer. Canaan says the cost was 7 times the amount what an Israeli company would have paid."       This Palestinian Brewery Is Resisting Military Occupation, One Beer at a Time.
