KILLING GAZA - A documentary film about life under siege.
Wednesday 25 July 19.00 / 7pm.
The Palace, 37 White Rock, Hastings TN34 1JL.
Release Date: 13 May 2018. Running time: 97 minutes.
Independent journalists Max Blumenthal and Dan Cohen documented the 2014 Israeli assault on Gaza, and chronicled its horrific aftermath, particularly the brutal Israeli ground attack.

'Killing Gaza' turned a camera onto the survivors of the slaughter and let them speak for themselves. While giving voice to the pain of a people under siege, the film also highlights their inspiring acts of creative resistance, from painting to break-dancing to literature, that allow them to maintain their humanity in the face of deprivation and war.

Irish senate votes to ban Israeli settlement goods.

Excellent news from Ireland. The Bill, if it becomes law, will prohibit the importation of goods or services from illegal settlements in occupied territories, including Israel's settlements in Palestine which violate the Geneva Conventions. This news has come after seven Irish councils have voted to support the Palestinian-led global BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement, including Dublin, the first EU capital to take this stand. Vigil in Hastings - Stop the Killing - Stop Arming Israel.

Good turnout for our vigil in the town centre following a call-out by a number of Palestinian organisations for local actions. The day marked the 51st anniversary of Israel's occupation of Gaza, East Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Golan Heights - and the end of the Great March of Return campaign. The event was just a few days after Israeli snipers killed 21 year old nurse Razan al-Najjar.

We had a steady stream of well-wishers, supporters and local people wanting to know more about the occupation. Thanks to everyone who came to support.

Palestine Solidarity Campaign Appeal.

Last year, the PSC won a key victory for the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement at the High Court overturning regulations designed to stop local councils having the right to make ethical decisions about how their pension funds are invested (including the right to divest from companies supporting Israel's illegal occupation). Now, the Court of Appeal has overturned the High Court decision.

The PSC now needs to raise funds to continue the legal fight against this decision.
