FREE HANA! DAY OF ACTION FOR PALESTINIAN POLITICAL PRISONERS

Saturday 1 November 9am - 9pm. Butler's Gap (the chess board on George Street). Palestine campaigners in Hastings are holding a 24 hour solidarity hunger strike and a 12 hour public exhibition about Palestinian political prisoners, to highlight the ongoing detention of Hana Albidaq in an Israeli prison in the West Bank.

Israeli forces abducted Hana from her home in September because of her recent role in organising the hunger strike for Gaza movement in the West Bank - but like many detainees she has not been charged with committing any crime or given any legal process to fight for her release.

Join us throughout the day in Butlers Gap. The exhibition aims to raise awareness of Israel's use of arbitrary detention and torture, including of children, to maintain their brutal occupation over decades. There will be short films screening from 5.30pm onwards about the experience of Palestinian political prisoners.

    More information to follow.

Sign our petition to MP Helena Dollimore to make urgent representations to the Foreign office for Hana's immediate release: Sign here. The background: Facebook and Instagram.
