Hastings Jews for Justice (HJJ) Film Night. Do you have questions about Palestine/Israel?
HJJ has organised an evening of short films and discussion about Gaza, Palestine and Israel. All are welcome, "including those already informed, but especially anyone who feels lost, in despair, or simply wants to know more in order to make sense of things." After the films, there will be an opportunity to talk and listen, a chance to speak, ask questions and expand our understanding together.
The event is free but please book your tickets in advance so that the organisers can cater for the right numbers. REPORT: FREE HANA! DAY OF ACTION FOR PALESTINIAN POLITICAL PRISONERS
Thanks to everyone who supported our Free Hana: Day of Action for Political Prisoners last Saturday. We gathered hundreds more signatures for our petition to the MP for Hastings and Rye requesting she make representations to the Foreign Office regarding the ongoing incarceration of our dear friend Hana Al Bidaq. So far, she has not responded. The number of signatures now stands at 400. Lots of folks wrote messages of support and solidarity to Hana's family and took time to visit our pop up exhibition about administrative detention and imprisonment as tools of occupation and colonial oppression.
And we spoke to Hana's eldest son, who was incredibly moved to see all our efforts in amplifying calls for his mother's release. He has had to put his college studies on hold to look after the family, especially his youngest brothers, just 13 and 10. The children have not been able to see or speak to their mother since she was snatched by Israeli forces 2 months ago and they still don't know what she is accused of.
The courts keep renewing her detention and give no details of the charge/s against her. The children miss her so much but they are heartened to see the international solidarity for their mum. We will send them all the letters that were written at the stall.

VIDEO: THE UK GOVERNMENT IS A PARTICIPANT IN THE ISRAELI GENOCIDE OF GAZA
Here journalist Matt Kennard of Declassified UK shows how the UK government has been taking part in the genocide of Gaza through refuelling Israeli aircraft that have been involved in the bombing of Gaza and by giving target data to the Israeli military. Amongst other actions.
"We're talking about a crime which will echo down the ages. This is a crime that will be talked about in hundreds of years. And our government has been participating in it from the beginning. Our media has been covering for that participation. So it is up to us to make sure the Ministers involved, anyone in the chain of command, is held accountable and faces justice.
